Num. 5:12-15 “Speak to the people of Israel, If any man's wife goes astray and breaks faith with him, if a man lies with her sexually, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and she is undetected though she has defiled herself, and there is no witness against her, since she was not taken in the act, and if the spirit of jealousy (suspicion) comes over him and he is jealous (suspicious) of his wife who has defiled herself, or if the spirit of jealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife, though she has not defiled herself, then the man shall bring his wife to the priest and bring the offering required of her, a tenth of an ephah of barley flour. He shall pour no oil on it and put no frankincense on it, for it is a grain offering of jealousy, a grain offering of remembrance, bringing iniquity to remembrance. 2Cor. 4:13 Every human being carries a spirit in them. Now whatever spirit a man carries will determine what his driving force is, as well as his core values, actions and ultimately what becomes of the destiny he carries. Like Samson, a person may start out a venture, ministry or marriage with the right spirit (And the Spirit of the Lord began to move him (Samson) at times in the camp of Dan... Judg. 13:25) but may end up receiving another spirit along the way (For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received...,  1Cor. 11:4) whether knowingly or unknowingly, it is this spirit that will determine how such a fellow will end. Now there are different kinds of spirits. Scripture speaks of a spirit at work ruling and controlling the people of the world. "In which you once walked, following the COURSE of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the SPIRIT that is NOW AT WORK...," Eph. 2:2-3. It is this spirit at work that is responsible for many disobedience, rage, pride, lust, jealousy, etc, as well as our living in the passions of our flesh, and carrying out the desires of our body and our mind. Joseph and his brothers all carry spirits, but different spirits. It was this spirit that determined what they did, what they accepted or rejected as well as what they attracted and repelled. Our text shows the possibility of a spirit entering or coming upon a man, in this case, it was a spirit of jealousy, note that we were not told this man caught his wife in adultery, in fact we were told of the possibility that she may not have even committed the act; (or if the spirit of jealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife, though she has not defiled herself Num. 5:14). Like this case, today many couples unleash several untold hardship, misery, suffering, starvation both of sex and other provision and gratification just because one of them have opened up to a wrong spirit. They assume their partner deserve the treatment they are giving them, not knowing an evil spirit is at work to destroy their marriage. That thing you are doing and boasting about that he/she deserves it because of so and so they did, is not true, another marriage not far from you experiences worse, yet they still manage and respect each other. The difference is in the spirit they carry. Like Caleb, God wants you to carry a different spirit, only this can enable you follow the right actions and guarantee you and your seed the promises of God in marriage. "But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it". Num. 14:24 There are people today who carry certain spirits and don't know because the spirit is not manifesting yet or physically. That a spirit has never manifested to push or use a person or to ferment trouble does not mean a person is empty of it, there are spirits whose time is yet to come, so like God's spirit on Samson, they are moving little by little, preparing their victim, waiting for the right time to manifest. The book of Revelation, tells us about demons from creation, waiting for their time to manifest. I ask again, what spirit is in you or already pushing you? Ability to detect quickly and renounce, reject and repent of it, will go a long way to help you. Hannah had a sorrowful spirit; 1Sam. 1:15; And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit. The mouths of Ahab's prophets were taken over by lying spirits, 2Chron. 18:21; And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets... But Solomon spoke of a humble spirit; Prov. 16:19; Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly... Sirs, whatever you give or open yourself to regularly, eventually determines what spirit takes and drives you. What you believe and focus on in life more determines what you worship and what you worship, determines what you carry. @SMS With PRM   #Marriage-Matics CONCLUSION: If what you open up to is a wrong doctrine like the Obama's gender equality gospel, what kind of spirit do you suppose you'll carry, REBELLION and PRIDE towards a man, so stop focusing on such messages, songs, lies, etc, and don't forget, what you carry determines what drives you and consequently your deliverables in life.
