LEVELS AND STATUS
Heb. 5:1-3
For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
There are basically three types of Christians in the kingdom, the IGNORANT; those who are saved, but are ignorant about the kingdom lifestyles because they have not grown in the WORD, regardless of how long they've been saved. Two; THOSE WHO ARE OUT OF THE WAY; these are those who are growing but in the wrong direction and progression, their growth can be said to be in descent, because rather than grow in the LEVELS (precept) of the word, they are growing in STATUS, which is; position or standing according to man's rating. These are those who instead of growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2Pet.3:18) are growing in positions, offices, appointments, ordinations, marriage and human ratings.
The danger with this however is that those who are thus; assume they are growing in the lord, so rather than pursue the tenets of the kingdom, are lifted into the error of pride. These make claims that cannot be substantiated by the word, they unconsciously coerce you to relate with them on grounds of their status, marriage, office, age, position, etc. They are those who always compare themselves among themselves. "Do you know who I am"? Pastor Paul is more anointed than Pastor Peter? "Our church is the biggest church in Lagos.", etc. All these are signs of not growing spiritually or of growing out the way.
Three; the priest himself. This is the one who feeds on the word, so he can stand before the lord of the word and growing in the fear of the knowledge of the fact that he himself is compassed with infirmities.
He is the one who has grown from knowledge to practicing the doctrine
Isa. 28:9-10
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
He may not be approved by man but by scriptural lifestyle and conduct. ...Approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings... 2Cor. 6:4-7
Please stop measuring yourself by your achievements or position, in the arithmetic of the kingdom, age is not a sign of growth, neither is marriage, nor any of these. In the kingdom the tool for measuring and approving growth is in your ability to adapt to the lifestyle of Christ. Its time to grow up, are you one of those whom scripture expects to have long outgrown certain things but have by self ignorance or self delusion failed to reach your long awaited growth mark, you still have the chance.
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Heb. 5:12
