SETTLING DESTINY PATHS

(God's designed path for you)

Overview:

• God has a plan for all his own, so also does the devil.
• The reason you must not steps out of God's designed path for you.
• Graces that must accompany anyone who wishes to remain on destiny.

Acts 16:16-18
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
The same way that God has a plan for all his own, so also does the devil. Every new year, month, time or season only presents us with the platform to either fulfill one or the other. Our ability to walk in God's path and enjoy divine daily progress however lies in our ability to hear and follow this path designed by God for us.

Before any year begins, God has already finished it. Jer. 1:5. And this is what satan targets, God's arrangement, design, provision and direction to lead us into joy; this is what satan hates and which he seeks to alter but cannot unless he gets us to deviate from this path of destiny.


Ps. 56:6
They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
You see until the enemy can alter your steps out of that God designed path assigned you, he cannot capture your soul (joy) Reason they MARK your steps.

Job. 30:13
They break up my path; they promote my calamity; they need no one to help them.
Again, to promote your calamity, your enemy requires no additional effort other than to BREAK YOU OUT OF YOUR PATH. Nothing will matter this year outside God's path for you. Curiosities like, can I still continue with this marriage or relationship? Should I quit this job? Should I travel out or not? etc, should all be subject to what's in your destiny path and not your anger or grievance and only by separating yourself through fasting, praying, quietness and paying very careful attention to God's Holy Spirit can you find the answers.

It will be practically impossible to understand Paul's divine escape and deliverance him from this great satanic plot and onslaught by the cohorts of hell, without first understanding how he actually set out on this quest (journey) which is a type of our own journey into this new year.

Acts 16:6-7 (ESV)
And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them... And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia..., urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”...

Note the three guiding forces upon which Paul anchored his destiny path staying power.

1. What he was FORBIDDEN BY THE SPIRIT TO DO (And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia)
2. What he was ALLOWED OR NOT ALLOWED TO (And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not allow them) and
3. The DIVINE VISION BEFORE HIM. (And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia... urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”)

These three graces must accompany anyone who wishes to remain on destiny path as well as accomplish it. You must find out the things you are outrightly forbidden by God's Spirit to do, have or associate with this year. Marrying an unbeliever, divorce, re-marriage, sexual sins, doing drugs, using alternative powers, etc, regardless of whatever the reason, are clearly forbidden by God, because you don't have a path there this year or ever.

What if Paul had started out without understanding how to follow divine leading? What do you think would have happened if he had not learnt how to be sensitive to following destiny paths? How do you think he would have responded to this girl. What do you think Paul could have done with this girl? Possibly mistaken her as a messenger from God and probably made her his prayer coordinator? And what do you think would have become of his life and ministry eventually? Your guess must be as good as mine.

But unlike Paul, have you not made that girl who MET you your confidant or personal adviser? Have you not even entered a relationship with her already? Are you not planning to make her your business manager? Before you take any decision this year, please let the Holy Spirit direct you, let him make that choice for you, whether of what course to study, the person to marry, the house to rent or even the clothes to wear; and why?

Because demons are knowing beings, they know things about you and God's plan for you that you don't even know, they know Paul's assignment in Macedonia will bring about the birth of the Macedonian church, this Paul was not even aware of himself, hence the girl sent to meet him, and what for, to stop Paul. Do you know all your temptations are only to move you out of God's path which actually is your only guarantee for a glorious future?. Every time you allow, nurse or pursue a vision outside what God has for you, it is basically to destroy that beautiful future he's seen. There met Paul a girl with a spirit of divination, believe it or not, satan will arrange who to meet you and where. You must therefore watch out for divine instruction before you set out on that journey to your destiny.

Ps. 47:4 says;
He shall choose our inheritance for us,
the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

1. What could happen if you miss God's path for you?
2. Give 5 examples of what we mean by this kind of girl that can meet you this year.
